Baking Report

Baking

Do you know that baking is actually a form of science and chemistry? Baking is great but you need a lot
of expensive equipment. Here are some items of equipment that most people need to bake: You need an
oven, then you need utensils, an electric stand, hand mixers, spoons and bowls. Obviously you need
ingredients to bake with for your creations. Nowadays, there are lots of different types of recipes for
baking and cooking like: vegan, gluten free and dairy free. There are so many kinds of recipes available
as time has moved on and as people have evolved.

Most people don’t think that when you bake it’s a form of chemistry and science. When you add different
ingredients it creates a reaction and would produce the outcome of recipe you want. One of the
necessary ingredients that you need in baking is Baking Powder.  Baking Powder is very important since
heat helps a baked product produce tiny bubbles which makes it rise, and makes it light and fluffy. Just
like a science experiment if you take out one ingredient, then the cake won’t turn out right and appear flat
and tasteless - no one wants to eat that!

Baking started in Ancient Greece when they created how to bake bread in 600 BC. Eventually the Roman
Empire started baking, then created pastry baking beginning around 300 BC. Then later on, Roman
became known all Europe and eventually spread all around Asia. That’s how they created such unique
food and recipes for their own culture. Different countries have unique delicious recipes.

Baking is a fundamental part of cultures since it represents the treats they made in the history of different
cultures and everything they created in the olden days. In many different countries they have very
individual recipes, in Europe they use a lot of chocolate when they bake but in other countries they have
a range of baking and cooking styles, with different ingredients. The recipes in India don’t really use
chocolate when they bake because it’s not traditional to use in their recipes, but they do use a lot of sugar
and fat. That’s why their desserts and baking are really sweet. Traditional Indian baked goods like Barfi
use a lot of sugar and sometimes it can be overpowering and takes over the flavour when you eat certain
sweets. People use baking all around the world and in different countries they have different traditional
and recipes which is unique to their families and cultures.

Baking is a well known and ancient thing in the world that most people do in their households. Baking
shows cultures in different countries around the world and it’s very ancient since baking was created in
600 BC, and is a form of science and chemistry. That’s why baking is amazing. Baking takes time and
represents different passions and hobbies.
